"Abode Attendants", why plural if you are only one person?True, Abode Attendants, LLC is associated with one person. In order to provide adequate services and to continue to offer our reasonable rates, we occasionally use independent contractors or "ICs". These highly qualified individuals provide extra coverage during prime travel seasons.
What hours are you available?
We provide house/pet sitting services on a part-time basis, typically in addition to a regular “day job”. This means that any house/pet sitting duties we cover for you will typically have to be outside the hours of 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri.
Most pets are social and need daily human contact and company (even more so when you are away on a trip)!! A chaotic kennel where there are tons of other animals and strangers can be very stressful for your pet(s). Sleepovers better ensure the well-being of your pets and of your home. We firmly believe your animals are better off in the familiar comfort of their own home! Also, there is added home security when your home is occupied!
Where will you sleep?
Typically we will sleep in a guest bed or in your bed. We expect to be furnished with clean sheets, and will gladly re-clean them for you upon your return. If you do not have a guest bed and prefer we not sleep on your bed, we can bring an air mattress.
I live in a tiny house in an iffy neighborhood - will you still pet sit for me?
As long as your house is clean, safe and secure and you are pretty sure you don't live right next door to active crime, we will gladly housesit for you!
We believe all animals in all areas have a right to quality care!
What about holidays or emergency trips?
Unlike other house/pet sitters, we don’t change extra for holidays or short notice. We are typically in town during the holidays and house/pet sitting is to be expected at no extra charge. That said, it is rare that your last-minute request would be able to be accommodated in prime travel seasons. Book us early!
What areas do you serve?
Our rates reflect service for the greater Albuquerque area only. Extra fees apply to outskirts such as: Tijeras, Placitas, Bosque Farms, Peralta, Edgewood, Los Lunas, Corrales and Rio Rancho. We will certainly consider other areas as well.
