About Us:
Owner, Yvonne Feltman:
I have over ten years of house sitting experience in the Albuquerque area. This “business” found me because I love animals and I truly care about their well being. I take great pride in ensuring the security of your property and pets while you are away. House & pet sitting feels like a hobby more than “work” because I truly enjoy doing it.
Because house & pet sitting is a very personal service, I feel you should know some personal details about me as well: I have been around animals most of my life, beginning with two Norwegian Elkhounds my family had when I was a child. I have had couple of cats, a beta fish, a hamster and a sugar glider prior to the present. I have been around snakes/reptiles quite a bit.
Currently, I have a tiny dog named Jiminey Cricket (a 6 year-old Mini-Miniature Pinscher). I have owned him since just weeks after he was born! Jiminey Cricket* usually accompanies me when I house sit.
Other tidbits: Born in Dallas, TX, I have lived in Albuquerque most of my life. I have an identical twin sister and 6 younger siblings. I graduated from Sandia High School and obtained a Bachelors Degree from the University of New Mexico. I work in the day time as an executive assistant at a health care company in NE Albuquerque. Some of my hobbies include photography, writing, reading, games, dancing, traveling and cooking.
I have excellent and extensive professional (and personal) references of which I’d be happy to furnish upon your request.
Our House/Pet Sitters:
At Abode Attendants, we occasionally work with independent contractors (IC's) in order to extend reasonable rates on to you. These individuals are screened and trained to serve you and your pets. Prior to your house sit you will be provided with complete information on and a meeting with the individual who is to provide your house sit. With nothing less than excellence and integrity as our goal, we are confident our IC's embody this and more.
* Often times Yvonne will be the sitter providing services to you. She owns a 6-year-old male Mini-Miniature Pinscher named Jiminey Cricket . He is neutered and weighs 7 pounds. She brings Jiminey along on all of her overnight house sits. Jiminey gets along great with all breeds of dogs, both large and small. He is house trained and is typically kept in a secure crate when Yvonne is not present. Jiminey is not yappy or destructive to property. Once an initial meeting occurs, any fears or questions are usually put to rest and all pets seem to interact just fine with Jiminey. Yvonne doesn’t charge any fee for this initial meeting, as it ultimately benefits all involved.
